Pizza Diavola
Diavola - The Pizza with a Kick
Marco Biasetti from Delivita introduces the Italian version of the pepperoni pizza. Together with taste bud tingling homemade chilli oil and flavoursome diavola (pepperoni), this is a pizza your guests will remember.
‘Called the devil’s pizza – as it is so HOT’
Ingredients: tomato pizza sauce, buffalo mozzarella, pizza base dough, flour for dusting, diavola (pepperoni) and homemade chilli oil
Ensure you Delivita is very hot; around 400 – 550°c is ideal. Hand stretch your pizza dough into a 12” base. Move the pizza base onto a floured pizza paddle, spread the tomato sauce over the base, spreading it evenly. Dry off the mozzarella, and break it up and spread it on the pizza base. Place the pepperoni on the base, add a sprinkling of homemade chilli oil (season to taste). Using your peel, slide the pizza into the preheated oven, turning the pizza regularly until the base is cooked and crispy. This should take between 60 – 90 seconds. As soon as each pizza is ready, remove it from the oven, scatter over a few torn basil leaves, cut it into slices and devour!!
