Hot smoke with real wood, in chips, chunks or even whole logs. Cedar smoked Scottish salmon with a ginger-chilli-soy glaze.
Using the vents to control the temperature for long, low and slow cooking gives incredibly succulent results, like these beef shortribs with a Memphis dust rub.
You might not have expected this one, but Gusto comes with a pan holder as standard, ideal for stews, curries, and this beef bourguignon.
Gusto comes as standard with a pizza stone and two half-moon heat deflectors, enabling you to create the perfect pizza setup. This is a charred vegetable and pesto pizza.
Turn things up to 11 with this beautiful Aberdeen Angus tomahawk steak, with a ripping hot fire underneath.
Use a heat deflector to create an indirect high heat for this stunning crackled heritage pork loin with char-roasted whole beets.
Use your heat deflectors to create the perfect baking environment, and make these fig and goat’s cheese filo parcels.
Cook straight on the coals. It works amazingly well, and impresses your guests. Whole beets or aubergines, sweetcorn in the husk, or as shown here, Hereford beef bavette, soon to be served with a simple chimichurri.
In one sentence: Charcoal-fired, with thick ceramic walls that retain heat, smoke and moisture – resulting in incredible flavours, succulence and tenderness.
Let’s hear it from Matthew Hoggard and Tristan Welch – two well established live fire chefs:
The Gusto Charcoal BBQ comes fully equipped with a range of Gusto-specific accessories to get you off the ground. See a complete contents list of the Pro BBQ Accessory pack below.
The main cooking grate gives great sear marks, and is sturdy, robust, and easy to clean.
Become Pizzaiolo of the Party! The ceramic stone gives authentic flavours and perfectly crisp pizza bases.
Master your grill using the two grilling levels of the versatile multi-level rack system.
Used for smoking, baking, and indirect cooking. Place under the grill to slow down the cooking times and protect foods from direct heat.
Use with the half-moon heat deflectors and/or the two tier rack holder. Allows access to food or coals beneath the main cooking surface.
Place this on top of the rack holder, and use it to support woks or cast iron pans.
Keep your hands clean whilst easily and safely removing grates from the BBQ.
Used to help remove the ash from the bottom of the Gusto after each use.
Roasting food with fire in an earthen oven is an ancient cooking method that has roots in many cultures worldwide. One such clay oven has become ubiquitous: The kamado.
Originating in Japan, kamado-style cooking relies on the thick ceramic walls of the barbeque to retain heat and maintain a steady temperate, whilst the enclosed design helps to lock in the smoke and moisture, giving incredibly flavoursome results.
The Gusto is our own premium quality kamado grill, which we designed to match our kitchens. It has a good-sized cooking area and adds some serious presence to your outdoor kitchen. Sitting on a carbon steel base, the Gusto integrates seamlessly with the rest of the kitchen.
There are many kamados on the market similar to the Gusto. The differences between them are typically more aesthetics and accessories, rather than any significant difference in design or quality. Gusto comes with a comprehensive range of accessories included as standard, representing a substantial saving when compared like-for-like. In addition, the base is included as standard. The Grillo Gusto is a smart, neutral grey with a contemporary aesthetic, that we chose to better complement the Vantage kitchen and a broad variety of garden styles. Lastly, Gusto has durable stainless steel ironmongery, instead of an inferior coated steel.
Finally, a kamado BBQ in a colour that suits any environment.
The modern grey colour ensures your Gusto will look stunning, but still blend in to any British garden – whether it’s a central London roof terrace of a rural Grade II-listed barn conversion.

Many people think that a kamado BBQ may be complex to use, however, once you’ve grasped the basic principles, you’ll never look back.
Controlling the temperature is done using the vents at the top and bottom of the barbeque. Treat the bottom vent as the accelerator, and the top vent as the brake.
Whether you want to smoke, roast, bake or sear, the kamado charcoal-fired barbeque is incredibly versatile and has a huge range of cooking temperatures and styles. See our blog post about Gusto temperature control for more information.
The Gusto BBQ comes complete with the Short Square BBQ base, setting the grill at the perfect cooking height.
With a porcelain top that matches the rest of the Grillo worktops, the simplicity and beauty matches in perfectly with the rest of the kitchen.
Brilliant just got better. A simple yet transformative addition to the Grillo range, SLATTED opens up endless possibilities for kitchen customisation.
