Outdoor kitchen in Tiddington, Stratford-Upon-Avon
“A pretty plot, well chosen to build upon!” So commented a local playwright, and whilst it’s unlikely he was referring to this plot, he may as well have been. The village of Tiddington is just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, and this ‘pretty plot’ backs onto the Avon itself. The garden has been finished to an uncommonly high standard by Bidford Landscapes, and can perhaps be best described as enviable. An immaculate and steeply-sloped lawn (croquet must be fun) is overlooked by a patio and a solid oak tiled-roof pergola of traditional construction; the whole area bathed in dappled sunlight filtering through the stately boughs of a vast cedar. Amongst the many features of this extraordinary garden is an outdoor kitchen. One can think of few better places to spend a long evening with friends, food and fire – than at this midsummer night’s dream.
