Outdoor kitchen in Cadeby, Leicester
We love the style of this garden in Cadeby, near Leicester, the work of @the_hayloft_dutch_barn. What could have been a bland patch of grass out the back of the new-build Dutch barn is anything but. The garden is a lovely balance of structure and unruliness: Deliberately disorderly and unfussy flowering shrubs and grasses overflow the borders, with occasional bursts of colour from native wildflowers such as woodland geranium. Flanking the kitchen are saplings, including a beautiful ghostly-white multi-stemmed silver birch, and a line of pleached trees provide a leafy backdrop. The kitchen itself is very well thought out – the layout’s one we haven’t seen before – and the gin selection looks very enticing.
